At only 16, KIITA is rapidly carving out a place for herself in the music world. Signed to Chris Anokute’s artist development company Young Forever Inc alongside the likes of LÉON, the rising star made a splash with debut EP Let’s Commit A Robbery. She followed that up with a string of songs including viral hit “Messed Up.” Next month, the Ohio native plans to drop her sophomore EP Anthemoessa. But we don’t have to wait that long for a taste of more content. This week, she returns to deal with matters of the heart on new single “Phantasy.”

On it, she puts a partner on blast. “I’m so sick of all this drinking. I’m so tired of being failed by you,” the talented teen announces on the opening lines. And that is only the start. “I’m so done with all this thinking. I’m so tired of being blind for you.” However, she depicts a rapidly shifting cycle of emotions on the chorus. “Over and over again, crashing and crashing like this. Somewhere in my fantasy, swear I’m falling in love again. Over and over again, dreaming and dreaming again. Somewhere in my fantasy, swear you’re breaking my heart again.”

She added some additional insight into the lyrics in an exclusive quote. “I tend to live some feelings over and over again, and a part of me actually enjoys revisiting past lovers,” Sara Lewis (her real name) explained. “I believe in second chances, and, even though some relationships are dead and ruined, there is always a possibility you may meet down the road again — for better or for worse.” This is easily the song that could introduce her to a new audience. And here’s the best part: We have it a day early. We’re proud to partner with KIITA to bring you an exclusive first listen to “Phantasy.”
