AJ & Ava Max's 'Slow Dance'
AJ Mitchell teams up with the 'Sweet But Psycho' singer for a cute collab.

AJ Mitchell ranks as one of the breakout pop stars of 2019. The 18-year-old has released a steady stream of bops including a couple of notable collaborations. Of those, only four make the cut of his Slow Dance EP. In addition to the title track, a cute duet with “Sweet But Psycho” singer Ava Max, previous singles “Move On” and “Talk So Much” are included. (Justice for “Afterhours”!) There’s only one new song, but it’s yet another banger. This time around, AJ sings about a forbidden fling.

“Heard you got a boyfriend, heard he makes you laugh when nothing’s funny,” the teenager laments in a verse. “But can he do what I can? Nah.” That takes us to the dramatic chorus. “Forbidden love, forgetting us,” AJ belts. “You know it’s easier said than done, but the minute that you’re gone — I can’t get you out my mind.” It’s another slick, slightly naughty addition to his ever-expanding discography.
