Two New Songs? Camila Cabello Readies New Music
UPDATE: Camila Cabello confirmed she will kick off her new era with dual singles “Shameless” and “Liar.” She also shared a snippet of “Shameless.” Check out both covers and the new teaser below.
Camila Cabello’s sophomore era has officially begun. Earlier this year, the 22-year-old promised a deluge of new content was on the way. She followed that by dropping her chart-topping Shawn Mendes-assisted “Señorita” and a handful of other collabs. But that’s not all the Fifth Harmony alum has in store for the year. Last week, she sent fans into overdrive by rebranding her social media with a burnt orange avatar. She followed that up with a series of stunning promo pics and videos that pull inspiration from classical art and museum displays.
“You are cordially invited to experience the first installment on September 5, 2019,” one video teased. It also welcomed fans to “the world of Romance,” which some believe is a reference to the LP’s title. Today (September 3), we found out exactly what the first installment of the era would be. Taking to social media, Camila announced the release of what appears to be dual singles “Shameless” and “Liar.” In a new visual, the words appear on two individual cards. I’m taking that to mean that it is two songs. However, it could also allude to one song called “Shameless Liar.” We’ll have to wait and see.
Of course, a double release wouldn’t be overly surprising. If you recall, Camila did the same with “Havana” and “OMG” back in 2017. It’s possible she’ll follow a similar path for her second album. Either way, we’ll find out for sure this Thursday. In the meantime, check out her announcement below.
