Update: It’s here! Ally Brooke and Matoma join forces on their stomping, floor-filling new collab “Higher.” Grab your dancing shoes and press play on the track below.

Ally Brooke is celebrating the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars by treating us to new music. The Fifth Harmony alum is one of the newest crop of celebrity competitors for the ABC show, which relaunches September 16. That same day she’ll drop her Matoma-assisted single “Higher.” She broke the news on social media earlier today (September 11). “Dropping my dance record with [Matoma] on Monday to celebrate my first night on [Dancing With The Stars],” she gushed. “Can’t wait for y’all to have it.”

Of course, some fans are already familiar with the bop. Ally live-premiered it during a show last month. Based on what I’ve gathered from fan footage, it sounds like a stomping number that features soaring vocals. With any luck this will become a breakout moment for the “Low Key” solo star. Since breaking out on her own, she’s dropped several slinky songs but hasn’t had much luck on the charts just yet. This could very easily be the one to reintroduce her to the Billboard Hot 100. Check out her announcement below.
