Luke Combs drops another country classic with 'Beer Never Broke My Heart.'

EDIT: The post has been updated with a streaming link for Luke’s much-anticipated sophomore LP. Listen below.

Luke Combs is the new king of country. The crooner from Charlotte, North Carolina has racked up six consecutive number one country airplay hits and recently broke the first-week streaming record for a country song (11 million) with “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” Momentum is well and truly on his side, which means that the 29-year-old’s sophomore set, What You See Is What You Get, is destined to be one of the biggest albums of the year. Given that country music fans still buy albums, it might even be the biggest.

What You See Is What You Get drops November 8 and is available to pre-order now. It contains all five songs on The Prequel as well as a new collaboration with country icons Brooks & Dunn. The latter, a drinking song (what else) called “1, 2 Many” arrived today and it’s another old-school throwback. “By half past ten I’m half past tipsy, at quarter to twelve, man I’ve done had plenty,” Luke sings on the relatable chorus. “The countdown’s on when the first beer hits me — five, four, three, two, one too many.” Listen to his next hit below.
