You’d better glue down your wigs extra tight. Why? Because Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus finally dropped “Don’t Call Me Angel,” and nobody is safe. Anticipation has been building for the trio’s Charlie’s Angels soundtrack contribution for months now. Seriously. Rumors started picking up steam back in June before the divas sounded the pop alarm to confirm one of 2019’s most anticipated collabs. Out today (September 13), the final product is a fierce celebration of girl power over production courtesy of Max Martin and Ilya.

Ari takes the lead on the chorus, which opens the track. “Boy, don’t call me angel. You ain’t got me right. Don’t call me angel. You can’t pay my price,” she declares. Miley comes in next for a predictably powerful verse. “I make my money, and I write the checks. So say my name with a little respect,” the “Slide Away” hitmaker commands. Then she turns the knife a little more. “All my girls successful, and you’re just our guest.” It’s good, but Lana’s part is even better. “I fell from heaven, now I’m living like a devil. You can’t get me off your mind,” she coos as the bouncy beats become more forbidding.

“We in it together, but don’t call me angel.” They bring the song to life with an official video. And the Hannah Lux Davis-helmed release is the dictionary definition of a serve. In it, Ari is a vision in white while Miley hits the boxing ring and LDR shows off her deadly aim. Later they all don black angel wings and make themselves comfortable at a feast before a surprise appearance from Elizabeth Banks. This is all but guaranteed to go very viral, and I wouldn’t be remotely surprised to see the track climb the Billboard Hot 100 in the coming weeks. Press play below and let us know if you agree.
