“If You Need Me” Is Proof That Julia Michaels Can Do No Wrong
EDIT: The post has been updated with a suitably emotional video. Watch below.
Julia Michaels churns out perfect pop songs at an alarming rate. When she’s not penning them for other artists or chipping away at her debut album, the singer/songwriter is firing them off for good causes. Inspired by the Sorry For Your Loss Facebook community, “If You Need Me” is the kind of emotional, anthemic track that gets under your skin from the very first listen. “I wish I could fix it, I wish knew what to say,” Julia coos in the opening verse. “But everything feels like a lie these days.”
The hitmaker then offers her unwavering support. “But if you need me, I’ll be right there, when you’re dreaming all your nightmares,” she belts on the chorus. “I’ll come tackle the monsters, I’ll find where they hide in the nighttime.” It’s yet another jewel in a discography bursting with pop treasures. Julia is currently taking her Inner Monologue Tour around the globe. She will return to the states in October (see all the dates here) and hopefully bless us with even more new music.
