Bebe Rexha Teases ‘Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil’ Soundtrack Song
EDIT: It’s official. Bebe’s Disney anthem is called “You Can’t Stop The Girl.” Listen to another snippet below.
Bebe Rexha is the busiest woman in the music industry. When she’s not working on her own music or penning songs for other artists, the loud and proud 30-year-old is lending her voice to club collaborations and recording anthems for major movies. Her next project? It looks the one-woman hit machine has a track on the Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil soundtrack. Bebe teased a snippet of a piano ballad — along with a visualizer that features Maleficent’s iconic horns — on social media this evening (September 16).
The ballad sounds sparse and suitably gloomy, which would be the perfect accompaniment for Maleficent 2. Particularly given that Angelina Jolie’s character is reportedly embracing her dark side this time around. The song quickly follows the release of “Not 20 Anymore,” an anthemic track Bebe recorded to celebrate her 30th. Given her insane productivity level, it’s only a matter of time before we get the lead single from the pop star’s sophomore LP. While we wait for that, listen to a snippet of Bebe’s Maleficent contribution below.
