Fantasia’s new album is coming together very nicely. The American Idol winner is getting ready to take the world by a storm with her 7th LP Sketchbook. She’s already racking up streams with singles “Enough” and “PTSD.” The former is currently sitting pretty at number 2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart. Meanwhile the latter (featuring T-Pain) showcases the collection’s diversity of sound. And it’s about to get even more exciting. This week, Fantasia unveiled a slew of details about the project including the album’s cover art and release date (October 11). But that’s not all.

She also rolled out another single off the tracklist – “Holy Ghost.” And her latest (available as an instant-grat if you pre-order Sketchbook) sounds like another hit. “Let me tell ya about the Holy Ghost,” Fantasia sings. “That’s what you hear when I hit every note. See I had it since I was very small. See there’s no way I could ignore the call.” There’s plenty of replay factor here, and it makes me even more interested to hear the rest of the LP. The hitmaker opened up about the project, billed as being “genre-less,” in a press release. Chiefly, it seems Sketchbook will reflect on her life and personal story.

“In the sketchbook we’re still coloring out and painting it out the way I want to be seen, not allowing anybody else to take control of that journey,” she explained. “This sketchbook, what I’m showing through my music, no matter where I go, I want people to see that the painting is still being filled in and there’s many colors and many things to Fantasia that they still don’t know — especially music.” Press play on “Holy Ghost” up top and check out the Sketchbook cover art below. You can also pre-order the album here and see tour dates here.
