New Find: Griff's 'Didn't Break It Enough'
UK newcomer Griff builds momentum with the soulful 'Didn't Break It Enough.'

GALXARA makes her major label debut with “Waste My Youth.” And like Ava Max before her, it sounds like the LA-based newcomer grew up on a steady diet of Lady Gaga and late ’00s electro-pop. “Everything is wrong, everything is right next to you,” she belts on a Eurovision-worthy chorus. “Don’t you know that my time’s like a million dollars, I could spend it anywhere.” However, GALXARA knows exactly what she’s going to do with her precious minutes, hours and days. “I wanna waste, wanna waste my youth on you.”

“It’s such a cliché, but you really are only young once, so whatever or whoever you choose to waste your youth on, do it with no fear,” the budding pop star says of the song. “Have no regrets. Don’t waste time on things that are petty or negative. Be happy and appreciate the love and life around you. People will always have assumptions, but ‘Waste My Youth’ isn’t about me spending my time on any one specific person, it’s about every moment I’ve spent and will one day spend feeling unregretfully fearless.”
