Monsta X Slows It Down With The Romantic “Someone’s Someone”
Monsta X continues to build momentum with each and every release. After showing dropping two English-language bangers (“Who Do You Love” and “Love U”), the K-Pop superstars slow it down with a mid-tempo electronic ballad called “Someone’s Someone.” As with their previous singles, it is recorded in English and has serious hit potential. “Maybe this is crazy, crazy just to wonder,” they begin the song. “Wonder if there’s someone meant for you.” The emo-mood continues as various members step in to deliver lines.
“Sunshine when it’s raining, raining over lovers,” Monsta X laments. “Lovers in the shade of color blue.” This takes us to the hands-in-the-air chorus. “We all… wanna be someone’s someone, with somebody we can’t live without.” Awww. The arrival of “Someone’s Someone” coincides with Monsta X mania spreading across America. “Who Do You Love” continues to make inroads at top 40 radio, while a live performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show got the whole audience on their feet.
