Will & Grace actor, American Idol judge and all-around jazz legend, Harry Connick, Jr., makes a welcome return to the music scene with a dreamy rendition of Cole Porter’s “Mind If I Make Love To You.” It’s the lead single from True Love: A Celebration Of Cole Porter, which drops October 25 (pre-order here). And if the song is any indication, the enduring crooner is taking it full circle on his 27th album. In so far as he’s revisiting the greats instead of putting a swingin’ spin on modern compositions.

“Mind If I Make Love To You,” which was originally featured in 1955 movie musical High Society, follows a similarly impressive cover of “Just One Of Those Things” (take from Jubilee). Other songs on the album include “I Love Paris,” “You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To,” “Why Can’t You Behave,” “You’re Sensational” and “You Do Something To Me.” It’s clear that Harry has romance on the mind this time around, which is just the way we like it. Listen to his new single below.
