RuPaul's 'Queen Of Queens'
Drag icon and pop star RuPaul rolls out a new album called 'Queen Of Queens.'

Releasing music after appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race is a rite of passage at this point. However, it wasn’t always the case. Sharon Needles was the first Queen to follow in Mama Ru’s iconic stiletto prints and release a full length album. Since then, she has blessed fans with a trio of largely horror-themed opuses including Taxidermy and Battle Axe. It was only a matter of time before the multi-hyphenate dedicated a body of work to Halloween and SPOOPY (a deliberate misspelling of SPOOKY) arrived this week.

The six-track EP is comprised of Halloween appropriate covers including “Somebody’s Watching Me,” “Highway To Hell” (my favorite cut on the mini-album) and “Monster Mash.” A video for the latter arrived on Friday and it finds Sharon doing her ghoulish thing at the beach. She flirts with ripped, speedo-wearing monsters and then recreates Pamela Anderson’s iconic Baywatch slow motion, boob-heaving run. In other words, it’s an absolute must-see. Check it out (and stream SPOOPY) below.
