Cody Simpson Interview
Cody Simpson spoke to us about his acoustic album and future plans.

Cody Simpson waxes lyrical about Miley Cyrus on new single, “Golden Thing.” The Aussie singer/songwriter is clearly smitten by his new girlfriend, listing her many charms. “Diamond throne, all on her own,” he croons over strummed guitar. “Coffee skin, she let me in.” That leads up to the simple chorus. “I’m shot, it’s the golden thing she’s got.” If you think that’s loved up, wait until the last verse. Which finds the 22-year-old proclaiming that angels weep when they’re together.

“If we could be heard, for whatever it’s worth,” Cody sings. “The rulers in the sky, they’d cry.” How’s that for romantic? The “Pretty Brown Eyes” (still a bop, by the way) hitmaker first serenaded Miley with the song in hospital. Needless to say, the Bangerz queen was impressed. “She was like, ‘If you don’t put this shit out, I’m putting it out on your behalf for you. I’m getting your Spotify login and doing this shit myself,'” Cody told People magazine. Listen to the unexpectedly lovely lullaby below.
