K. Michelle's 'Hard To Do' Video
You might need some alone time after watching K. Michelle's 'Hard To Do' video.

I love me some K. Michelle, particularly when she’s in ballad mode. (2014’s “Can’t Raise A Man” is still that song). The R&B singer returns to New Music Friday with a typically sexy slow jam called “The Rain.” Sampling New Edition’s “Can You Stand The Rain,” Kimberly’s latest has less to do with the weather and more to do with the bedroom. “Come swim in my waters like a sailboat, you just may get lost in it like Nemo,” she sings in the opening verse. “Come sip on it as I drip on it, you gone have to change my name to H2O.”

It just gets more explicit as the song progresses. “You love it when I call your name, daddy,” she coos on the pre-chorus. “You love it when I make it rain, daddy.” The song (and K.) reach their climax on the chorus. “Storms will come, make me over-flow,” the “V.S.O.P.” hitmaker belts. “Can you stand the rain?” Watch the glamorous video, which finds Kimberly rocking a red wig and designer gowns, below. “The Rain” is the latest single from the singer’s upcoming All Monsters Are Human album. It is due in November.
