Another smash from 'Divide.' Saoirse Ronan stars in Ed's 'Galway Girl' video.

Ed Sheeran’s No.6 Collaborations Project was only released in July, but the hitmaker is already hard at work on his next album. “He’s already started writing and recording for what will be album five,” Ed’s longtime manager Stuart Camp told the BBC. “We won’t let anything come out that’s substandard.” It what could be disappointment or consolation depending on where you stand, the opus is still in the very early stages. “We’ve done that on the previous two albums where we have to keep going until we absolutely know that the thing we come back with is undeniable.”

“Ed will make a record and we’ll just push, push, push and the last three weeks of recording we’ve done, the bangers just come flying out,” Stuart promises/threatens. Despite his prolific output, the Sheeran camp is aware of over-saturating the market. “We’re very conscious of not doing overkill,” Ed’s manager continued, before admitting that it has never stopped them in the past. “Bizarrely, we’ve been doing it for 10 years where we really have overkilled, but no one seems to be sick of it.” No comment.
