Album Review: Lana Del Rey's 'NFR'
We review Lana's exquisite, multi-layered 'Norman Fucking Rockwell' LP.

Lana Del Rey has impeccable taste in special guests. The Norman Fucking Rockwell singer memorably brought out Weyes Blood and Zella Day for a glorious cover of Joni Mitchell’s “For Free” at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. She was also in a collaborative mood last night (November 4). Lana called up Julia Jacklin to help her perform the Aussie singer/songwriter’s “Don’t Know How To Keep Loving You.” A highlight of Julia’s Crushing LP, it’s easy to see why LDR adores the (pre-) breakup anthem. It’s timeless and soul-crushing.

“I wanna want you, I wanna stay here like this, I wanna feel it all every time that we kiss,” they sang at the Bellco Theatre in Denver, Colorado. “I want your mother to stay friends with mine, I want this feeling to pass in time.” However, the feeling of falling out of love is unmistakable. “Don’t know how to keep loving you, now that I know you so well.” Ouch. If you love the duet (below), make sure you check out Julia’s Crushing. Which, like Norman Fucking Rockwell, is going to feature on most, reputable Year-End lists.
