The pop star is a porcelain doll without control in the visual for 'Paper Love.'

Allie X will join this week’s New Music Friday lineup with a new single called “Regulars.” The thinking man’s pop diva shared the striking cover art, which finds her looking plaintiff in front of a church, on social media and opened up about the track’s subject matter. “This is a big one for me… an anthem for outsiders and one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written.” It follows the upbeat (by her standards) “Rings A Bell,” which is one of the catchiest singles in her glittering discography.

At this rate, it looks like Allie X is prepping a new EP or album. A year has passed since the arrival of 2018’s extremely good Super Sunset, and the Canadian pop priestess has slowly started churning out new music. In addition to the aforementioned “Rings A Bell,” she has also delivered “Fresh Laundry.” Given that the covers all share a similar aesthetic (our dark queen is enjoying the countryside), it’s not too big a leap to suspect that a larger body of work is on the way. Check out Allie X’s announcement below.
