The Drop: Terror Jr & Galantis
Your guide to New Music Friday featuring Terror Jr and Galantis.

Electronic pop duo Terror Jr released their 4th EP, Come Outside And Break Your Heart, last week. On the first listen, it’s instantly apparent that David Singer-Vine and Lisa Vitale have moved on from the Bop City trilogy. Their sound is a little less abrasive and considerably less reliant on computer wizardry. All four songs are winners, but “Straight From The Bottle” is an instant standout. The title says it all. This is a quirky banger about drowning your sorrows. Which makes it relatable to most of us, at least at one point or another.

“Off Reposado. That is the truth that I swallow,” Lisa coos in a verse. “I’ve gotta hate you to never erase you.” The song really soars on the anthemic chorus. “Straight from the bottle, Imma drown my troubles away,” she sings. “Drinkin’ Moscato, I don’t wanna think about you today.” Terror Jr is quick to note that the song is something of a departure for them. “[It] isn’t as surreal as where we normally tread… it’s pretty straightforward and real,” they reveal. “[It’s about] finding self-love and the obstacles we encounter when we let go of shitty love.”

We’re excited to premiere the video, which is a gritty rush of purple haze, below.
