Future Hit: Arizona's 'Roxanne'
Arizona Zervas has a huge hit on his hands with instantly catchy 'Roxanne.'

EDIT: The post has been updated with the video of Ant’s viral smash. Watch it below.

Forget about radio. If you’re looking for the Next Big Thing, they’re probably already racking up streams on a Spotify or Apple Music playlist. That was certainly the case for Australia’s Tones And I, who is predicted to crack the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with “Dance Monkey.” Sharing that rarefied air at the top of the charts is Arizona Zervas, who similarly rode the viral success of “Roxanne” to mainstream recognition. It’s only a matter of time before Ant Saunders joins the club.

The 18-year-old is currently making huge waves on Spotify with “Yellow Hearts.” The sing-along bop has already racked up 50 million streams across all digital platforms without so much as a video or professional cover. (His DIY artwork is a proud nod to Microsoft Paint). Which is actually part of the song’s appeal. Everything about “Yellow Hearts” feels homemade and authentic. “She put my name with yellow hearts, her favorite color like the stars,” Ant sings on the catchy chorus. “I didn’t listen very hard when she told me she was crazy from the start.”

As the song progresses, our hero starts to wonder if he’s being played. “It’s been a while since I’ve heard her say that we were more than friends,” he laments. “But girl, please tell me and I’ll let you be — are you still with me or not?” Honestly, if you have to ask you probably already know the answer. It’s only a matter of time before a label (in this case, Arista Records) steers “Yellow Hearts” to the top of the charts. Listen to the teenager’s viral smash, which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 this week at 81, below.
