The collaborators brought their fiery new single 'Raising Hell' to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

Big Freedia has momentum on her side. After landing a song-elevating cameo on Beyoncé’s “Formation” and adding some much-needed flavor to Drake’s “Nice For What,” the Queen of Bounce is ready to flourish as a hitmaker in her own right. “Louder,” a collaboration with Icona Pop, is the Nola icon’s first non-feature since dropping 2018’s killer 3rd Ward Bounce EP. It’s a hip-hop anthem with a delightfully queer twist and an irresistible Snap! sample. “If you think that you’re on top it’s time to revaluate,” Freedia begins the song.

“I’ve been bookin’ bitches left and right and I got shit to say,” she spits. “Honey, don’t step out of line and bitch, you better know your place.” That takes us to the anthemic chorus. “I’m screaming and screaming it louder, I got the, I got the power!” What’s it all about? “[The song] is about feeling the power of your own voice,” the “Karaoke” hitmaker explains in the press release. “I’m also comin’ louder this year with my music game.” Bring it on!
