Ava Max Is All Cried Out & Feeling Fabulous On Fierce New Single “Salt”
Ava Max will cap off 2019 on a high note. She is quite literally ringing in the new year with a highly anticipated performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. But before that she hit us with a dose of new-ish music. Today (December 11), the 25-year-old uploaded her disco-tinged bop “Salt” to streaming services and iTunes. Why is it only kind of new? Because it’s been racking up listens on YouTube since 2018. With more than 4 million streams on the platform, the track is clearly a fan favorite. And with one listen I can easily see why.
On it, Ava delivers the ultimate kiss-off to an ex. How so? By hitting the town looking fabulous and without a care in the world. “I got my thigh-highs on. Feel like Wonder Woman. That’s when you want all in, but I’m not your woman,” she sings over supersized beats. The “Freaking Me Out” princess digs the knife a little deeper on the chorus. “I’m all out of salt. I’m not gonna cry. Won’t give you what you want. ‘Cause I look way too good tonight,” she declares. “Tears are running dry.
