It’s really happening! We are just a few weeks away from the release of Meghan Trainor’s Treat Myself. The diva drops her long-awaited third LP January 31, 2020. But thankfully we don’t have to wait that long to hear more of the tracklist. Today (December 13), she joins the New Music Friday lineup with “Evil Twin.” And her latest is another candy-coated bop the likes of which no one does quite like Meghan. On it, she semi-apologetically introduces us to her wild alter ego after a night out. “It wasn’t me. She started it. I said just one, then she got lit,” the 25-year-old belts over vibrant beats.

That’s just the start of Meghan’s adventure. “I get lost in the background. She the star of the show. Gotta deal with her problems when she lose control,” she adds over backing vocals courtesy of her family. “I know I can’t tame her. I don’t even try so let me apologize.” I’m pretty sure this counts as relatable content for anyone who has tossed back a couple too many drinks before. Taken with previous singles “Wave” and “Workin’ On It,” it also makes it abundantly clear that Treat Myself is going to be an eclectic must-hear. Press play on “Evil Twin” below and let us know what you think.
