Kiesza Covers Haddaway’s “What Is Love”: Watch The Video For Her Rendition Of The ’90s Classic

Kiesza, her love affair with ’90s dance music and the success she’s having in the UK at the moment have all come full circle. Following the Canadian singer’s ascent to the top of the British chart this week with debut single “Hidewaway,” she’s unveiled a video for her haunting piano-and-synth cover of Haddaway‘s Eurodance staple “What Is Love,” which NME premiered this week.

Originally released in 1993, “What Is Love” danced its way to the upper reaches of charts around the globe (and, of course, even gained a second life later in the decade thanks to this Saturday Night Live skit). Here, Kiesza and several extras symbolically go naked in the visual and delivers a stunningly stripped-down version of the tune.

If you’re at all squeamish about NSFW material, be warned: there are (the top halves of) butts. Otherwise, head below to watch Kiesza’s take on the song, plus the original Haddaway video.
