Chelsea Lankes Debuts Her Joyous “Ghost” Follow-Up, “Secret”: Listen

Late last year, a newcomer named Chelsea Lankes captivated us with her lush and appropriately haunting debut single, “Ghost.” The song went on to become a major blogosphere sensation, racking up over 400K plays on Soundcloud alone.

She’s back now — and just in time to lead us into the second half of summer with her equally stunning new single, “Secret.”

While every bit as great as her debut, the long-awaited follow-up is a vastly different beast: Bouncing along an uptempo pulse, the silky-voiced Southern songstress revels in a blissful romance on the joyous synth-pop gem. “Every time you pull me closer, feeling like I won’t get over/Between you and me, you are the secret I keep,” she happily swoons. It’s a sincerely catchy, earnest ode that deserves to make Chelsea formally pop before the release of her debut EP, due out later this fall.
