Earlier in 2014, Australian band 5 Seconds Of Summer made a splashy stateside debut with EP She Looks So Perfect, which went into the Billboard 200 at #2 and sold 143,000 copies in its first week. Michael, Luke, Calum and Ashton have now followed up that feat with the chart-topping debut of 5SOS’s self-titled LP, on the strength of 259,000 copies sold out of the gate.

As far as the year’s biggest debuts go, this now puts the quartet behind only Coldplay‘s Ghost Stories (383,000 in its first week) and Eric Church‘s The Outsiders (288,000). Expect 5 Seconds Of Summer to drum up even more interest in their first full-length release later in the summer, when they take the stage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Until then, head below to see where the rest of the week’s players landed in the upper reaches of the album chart.
