Gwen Stefani On Working With Charli XCX
Gwen Stefani opened up about writing a song with rising star Charli XCX without meeting her!

When Gwen Stefani‘s “Baby Don’t Lie” dropped in October, I felt a little underwhelmed. It was cute and undeniably catchy, but hardly the stone-cold smash needed to kick off her comeback. Cut to December and the Benny Blanco/Ryan Tedder-produced pop anthem feels like a masterpiece in comparison to the frankly-embarrassing follow-up, “Spark The Fire.” As it happens, the song turned out to be something of a grower and might have taken off with even a slight promotional push.

At least, “Baby Don’t Lie” is getting some traction in clubs thanks a pair of belated, but very good remixes. EDM veteran Kaskade teams up with KillaGraham (one half of dance duo Milo & Otis) for a trap-infused overhaul, while Los Angeles-based DJ Davie Matthias transforms the perky pop song into a house monster. Maybe a skilled producer can make “Spark The Fire” slightly more bearable? Until then, check out Gwen’s latest remixes after the jump.
