Our latest musical discovery is AVAN LAVA, a super-pop group who hail from New York City. Today (March 30), we are premiering the group’s new single — titled “Take This City.”
The song is a stomping club-ready track that encapsulates the vibrant underground NYC dance scene, thanks to the smooth vocals, attention-grabbing harmonies and wild synths that have an ’80s flair.
“Our anthem is about new beginnings and endless possibilities. It’s about expressing yourself fully with total abandonment. It’s about playing the game of life and winning,” the group says about the tune. “Most importantly, it’s about the world conspiring to give you everything you’ve ever wanted. All you have to do is reach out and take it.”
