Little Mix Cast A Spell With Shiny Pop Anthem “Black Magic”: Listen
I wouldn’t be surprised if the super-babes from Little Mix have been dabbling in the dark arts, because new single “Black Magic” is preternaturally catchy. Produced by Norwegian duo Electric, the girl group’s latest begins with some punchy “Hollaback Girl”-tastic chanting, before plunging fearlessly into the sparkling, euphoric dance-pop of the mid-’80s.
“Take a sip on my secret potion, one taste and you’ll be mine. It’s a spell that can’t be broken,” the divas sing on the addictive chorus. “It will keep you up all night. Boy, you belong to me I got the recipe and it’s called black magic.” Little Mix leave the best for last, however, with the “falling in love” refrain, which evokes (and possibly samples?) Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” Listen to the future hit below.
