Disclosure Release Their Ominous “Holding On” Video: Watch
That mysterious trailer Disclosure dropped last week for their upcoming Caracal album actually turned out to be the preview for the “Holding On” video, which was released today (July 1).
The UK brothers’ booming house tune with guest vocalist Gregory Porter serves as a foil for the ominous six-minute long cinematic clip. The video, which is part one of an epic series directed by Ryan Hope, is set in Mexico City and follows a young woman named Mariela. The environment surrounding her is a harsh dystopia filled with Robocop-inspired soldiers and flying cars, and it seems that Mariela is the people’s last hope at survival.
Look out for Caracal, the follow-up to 2013’s Settle, on September 25 via Interscope Records. Along with Gregory Porter, the album will include guest vocalists like Lion Babe, Nao, Kwabs and — once again — Sam Smith.
