Jess Glynne is ready to give you some motivation this summer with her new single, “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself,” which dropped today (July 2).

The tune, off the UK starlet’s upcoming debut album, continues Glynne’s upbeat dance theme that is filled with strings, glittery synths and emotive vocals — yet there is a refreshingly somber tone that saves it from being too predictable. “Don’t be so hard on yourself, no / Learn to forgive, learn to let go / Everyone trips, everyone falls / So don’t be so hard on yourself, no,” she sings as she tries to get over a failed relationship.

Look out for the singer’s debut I Cry When I Laugh LP on August 14 in the UK and September 11 in the U.S. It features tunes like “Hold My Hand,” “Ain’t Got Far To Go,” “Real Love,” “Rather Be” with Clean Bandit, “My Love” with Route 94 and her “Not Letting Go” collaboration alongside Tinie Tempah.
