Girls Aloud At The O2 Arena: Live Review
Find out what we had to say about Girls Aloud's concert at London's O2 Arena.

Ex-Girls Aloud starlet Sarah Harding first talked about releasing a solo album way back in 2012. That got pushed back to 2013 and then 2014. It never eventuated and it looked like she had thrown in the towel until today (July 2). After years of setbacks, the 33-year-old unveiled the cover of debut single “Threads” — it reminds me of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” artwork — and even disclosed the release date (August 7).

The blond bombshell is the fifth and final member of Girls Aloud to release solo music. Of the group, Cheryl Cole has been the most successful — landing five UK number one hits. The rest haven’t fared as well. Nicola Roberts’ 2011 LP Cinderella’s Eyes stalled at number 17 and produced no top 20 hits, while Nadine Coyle’s Insatiable album was exclusively released in Tesco supermarkets. Oh and let’s not forget Kimberley Walsh’s collection of musical theatre covers, which stalled at number 18 in 2013. Time will tell if Sarah has more luck.
