Meghan Trainor Postpones First Two ‘MTrain Tour’ Dates
Today (July 3), Meghan Trainor was to kick off The MTrain Tour — her second headlining trek in less than a year. However, due to vocal chord hemorrhage, the “Dear Future Husband” singer has instead postponed the tour’s first two dates: July 3 in Atlantic City and July 4 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
(Are you picking up a trend here? Sam Smith, Jess Glynne and now this!)
“I don’t want anyone worrying but I have a [hemorrhage] on my vocal chords,” she says in a statement posted to Instagram. “Right now the doctors want me on complete vocal rest until they are healed … I promise that I will make it up to my Megatronz. I have never missed a tour date so this is killing me.”
Trainor was also to perform in New York City for Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, though she no longer appears on the bill, which features Gloria Estefan, Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran and Flo Rida. See her Instagram posts about The MTrain Tour setback below.
