Neon Trees frontman Tyler Glenn is making his solo debut with new fiery single, “Trash,” which also features an accompanying video. The electro-pop number sees the practicing Mormon singer – who came out as gay two years ago – reclaim his independence and navigate through his relationship with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

“I always tried to make being gay and being Mormon work,” Glenn recently told Rolling Stone. “I needed to make this statement to artfully show the pain of a faith crisis and the darkness of doubt, but also that there’s ways to reclaim what is yours.”

Check out the video above.
