MUNA’s New Song Is Also Their Best Song

MUNA shared their new song “Crying On The Bathroom Floor,” and the timing is perfect since that title is a good encapsulation of what most rational Americans will be doing for the next four years. But the song isn’t nearly as downtrodden as the name suggests, and the result is one of the best tracks the trio’s put out in its short run.

There’s a Moroder-style synth disco throb, with the slick darkness of Johnny Jewel, but the chorus is graceful and muscular pop led by Katie Gavin’s vocals. The song is off their debut album About U, out February 3. Listen below.
