Last night (May 19) was the season finale of American Idol, and the show celebrated with a star-studded lineup of performances and guest appearances. Judge and wig aficionado Katy Perry stole the show with a pair of fantastic appearances. Those included the first televised run through her Daddy Yankee collab “Con Calma (Remix)” and a stripped back take on “Unconditionally” with Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon. Her fellow judges also took the stage. Country star Luke Bryan played his latest single “Knockin’ Boots” and shared a duet with Laci Kaye Booth. Meanwhile, Lionel Richie joined the Top 10 for a lively take on “Dancing On The Ceiling.”

That’s not even close to all, though. There were performances from some of the show’s most beloved alum. A fabulously dressed Adam Lambert electrified while belting out his new single “New Eyes.” He also lent his velvety vocals to an awe-inspiring rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” alongside Dimitrius Graham. Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood showed love to her summery anthem “Southbound.” It was a big night for country representation, in all. Kane Brown joined Alyssa Raghu to sing “Good As You” and his Becky G duet “Lost In The Middle Of No Where.” Dan + Shay invited Madison VanDenburg onstage to play their mega-hit “Speechless.”

Laine Hardy, the night’s big winner, and Jon Pardi played “Dirt On My Boots” and “Night Shift.” After claiming the title, he treated the audience to a rousing performance of his new single “Flame.” You’re probably already familiar, as it has been climbing US iTunes all day. And there’s still more. Weezer joined Wade Cota and Walker Burroughs for a medley of hits. Montell Jordan invited Margie May up for “This Is How We Do It,” and Andra Day teamed up with Shayy Sing for a rousing take on “Rise Up.” Let’s end on a funky note with a medley of hits from Kool & The Gang featuring the Top 8.
