As 2018 comes to a close, we’re all looking back on some of the brightest highlights from what was an otherwise trying year. Billboard is no exception to the trend. Today (December 13), the publication unveiled the covers of their annual Year In Music edition. Per tradition, they selected several of the year’s most innovative acts and honored them with features and photo shoots. Last year they paid tribute to the likes of Lana Del Rey and Cardi B. This time around they selected Camila Cabello, Bebe Rexha, Florida Georgia Line and Logic to grace three covers. Unsurprisingly, they all deliver something memorable.

Considering her breakout year, Camila seems like an obvious choice. The 21-year-old topped the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 Albums chart simultaneously with the release of her debut solo album. Since then she’s toured with the likes of Taylor Swift, landed another Top 10 hit and nabbed two nominations for the 2019 Grammys. On her cover, the “Never Be The Same” hitmaker reclines in a voluminous pink skirt and crop top. She keeps things equally chic it the remaining images from her shoot with David Needleman. In an accompanying interview, she hinted at the possibility of dropping a sophomore LP sometime in 2019 and shared why she didn’t feel it was time to take a break and relax on her laurels. “I really have just been a solo artist for a year, so I can’t take an extended break. … I don’t feel like I should do that, you know?” At least we have new music to look forward to in the new year.

After the awe-inspiring success of “Meant To Be,” Bebe and Florida Georgia Line share a joint cover shot by Eric Ryan Anderson. In their interview, the Expectations star opened up about her decision to keep her vocals on the country crossover anthem. As it turns out, she was inspired by none other than Rihanna. “I was like, ‘What’s the one thing Rihanna hasn’t done?’” she explained. “And she hasn’t done a country song. But if she did, it would be fucking dope. I was struggling, because I’m not a country artist, but all my favorite artists have taken chances. So I just said, ‘Fuck it. A good song is a good song.’” Meanwhile, Logic (shot by Sami Drasin) opened up about happiness and triumphing over “depression and haters.”
