Girls Aloud minx/X Factor judge Cheryl Cole debuted the music video for “3 Words” today, the second single off her same-titled U.K. solo album. Quite frankly, Cheryl and guest warbler will.i.am aren’t breaking any new visual ground here, nor is the song as catchy as Cole’s previous offering, “Fight For This Love.”
That said, quiet dance jam “3 Words” does manage to nicely soundtrack a day of stuffing yourself with cold leftovers and vegging out on the couch. So hop below the jump and give “3 Words” a spin or two. (And don’t forget the gravy.) More »
The New York Post reports that Chris Brown has been booked by ABC for a Good Morning America appearance in December, which will include a “tell-all” interview with the network’s Robin Roberts (who recently chatted up Janet Jackson in a one-hour prime time special).
So, let’s get this straight (pun definitely intended)—Adam Lambert proved to be too scandalous for Good Morning America following his same-sex lip-locking and face-in-crotch shenanigans on Sunday’s American Music Awards, but felon Chris Brown, who belted girlfriend Rihanna in February, is A-OK morning fodder. Lady Gaga swung by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and performed “Speechless” and “Bad Romance” in the episode that airs today. And this being Black Friday, maybe Gaga is hoping to at least boost sales of The Fame Monster enough so that she can remain somewhat competitive with the sales juggernaut that is Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed A Dream. Esmée Denters released the cover art and music video for her second single “Admit It,” and while it’s no “Outta Here,” the track still has a good beat for all your workout needs. In the vid, Es dances around with her two gals pals on either side of her—unfortunately, in a much more generic fashion than “Single Ladies”—while a semi-cute dude desperately searches around an empty house for her. Deep. (Sorry, it’s been difficult to judge regular, generic pop music videos fairly since so many recent ones have managed to scare the crap out of me.) Esmée’s vid for “Admit It” (from YouTube, naturally) after the jump. More »
While you were stuffing your gourd with turkey yesterday, Katherine McPhee was earning a paycheck at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Kath performed “Have It All” off her upcoming album Unbroken, standing on a colorful Jimmy Dean float that other Idol runner-up Adam Lambert would probably have felt more at home on. And if you had any doubts that Americans truly do not care if their performers lip-synch, check out the clip above. (Though Kath certainly wasn’t the only one guilty of mouthing the words in front of millions of freezing New Yorkers.) Other heavily-mimed T-Day performances after the jump: More »
Just a few days after we posted our item chock full of suggestions for how the members of Fall Out Boy should spend their hiatus comes the news that FOB’s Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman have teamed up with members of Anthrax and Every Time I Die to create their own metal supergroup, The Damned Things. Kick ass name. More »
Attention Gleeks: If you haven’t already picked up the first soundtrack or pre-ordered Volume 2, do it now, because there’s gonna be a lot less Glee in your life for awhile. After the December 9 episode, the beloved Fox series ain’t coming back on the air till April 2010, says Entertainment Weekly. What’s worse—it’s switching nights from Wednesday to Tuesday, where it’ll be up against the final season of Lost. See, this is why God invented TiVo, so we never have to choose between our guilty pleasures.
Don’t be too sad, though—we have a mini-interview with Glee stars Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale, who gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the music that makes the hit show! More »
Oh, Ke$ha. Forget your current Top 10 hit “TiK ToK” or the one with Flo Rida that spent a bazillion years (i.e., six weeks) at #1 earlier this year—you had us when you started spelling your name with a dollar sign, using “Keshasuxx” as your Twitter monicker and taking classy snaps like the one above.
Lucky for us, Billboard decided to delve a little deeper into the Ke$ha mystique with an interview. More »
Are the Pussycat Dolls really breaking up because of feuding within the group? New York Post‘s Page Six reports that Nicole Scherzinger (who previously tried sailing away from the five-piece pop act to unspectacular results) has sparked irreparable ire with the other members, and they’re breaking up for good. However, one particular Pussycat Doll exclusively tells us otherwise. More »
Sweden’s The Sounds amp their rad factor up an extra notch with their new vid for “Beatbox.” The clip starts off with singer Maja Ivarsson and the rest of the band being chased through a dark jungle by an angry tribe. They then jump off a cliff and spend the rest of the time underwater. (Which reminds us—haven’t watched Duran Duran’s “Come Undone” video in a long time.) More »
