The Best Latin Pop Songs Of 2017
From 'Mi Gente' to 'Despacito,' we round up the best Latin pop songs of 2017.

They say history never repeats, but 2017 saw a revival of the Latin pop craze of the early ’00s. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee conquered the charts with “Despacito,” while J Balvin & Willy Williams followed suit with “Mi Gente.” Of course, both of those songs got an assist from a global superstar (Justin Bieber and Beyonce, respectively), but it wasn’t necessary to make a splash as the emergence of artists like Maluma, Anitta and Ozuna proved. Now it’s only fitting that one of the original crossover kings gets a piece of the action.

Enrique Iglesias has been bringing Latin rhythms to pop radio since 1999 (“Bailamos” is still that song) and his enduring popularity is staggering — landing global hits with “Bailando,” “El Perdon” and “Subeme La Radio” in recent years. You can now add “El Bano” to the 42-year-old’s tally of chart-toppers. A collaboration with Puerto Rico’s Bad Bunny, the track arrives on Friday (January 12) and sounds like another sexy banger from the preview. Take a listen to the hitmaker’s next Spanish-language smash below.
