Iggy Azalea has been M.I.A. of late, but she made a rare appearance on Twitter last night (November 6) and gave fans an exciting update. “Surprisingly to some, I’m not dead,” the Aussie rapper declared. “I’m not releasing any singles or new music with my new label until Jan 2018. sorry about that BUT… I am making a christmas album,” the 27-year-old joked. “Just kidding, I’m not making a christmas album.” This is where it gets good. “I am going to put some songs up tonight that my friend Ljay Currie produced for me over the summer that I feel are motivational.”

And she followed through, promptly sharing four new songs (you can download them for free here). And like all of Iggy’s 2017 output, they’re good. The hitmaker spreads her wings on the mellow “Going Up,” tackles matters of the heart on the Drake-channelling “Never Satisfied” (“I’m a rich bitch with the fattest ass”), says hi to her critics on “Hate On It” and assures us that she’s “Good” on the best track of the bunch. I don’t know if it’s possible for Iggy to make it all the way back, but there’s still a place for her on the hip-pop scene. See her tweets below.
