Noah Cyrus Returns With 'July'
The talented teen is back with a heart-wrenching love song called 'July.'

When it comes to the most underrated pop song of 2019, Noah Cyrus’ “July” has to be in the running. The 19-year-old completely overhauled her sound on the summer single, diving headfirst into alt-country. It set the bar exceedingly high for the second single from her debut LP, but “Lonely” is similarly striking. This time around, Noah dabbles in gospel-tinged piano balladry. “I’m slowly killing myself, I’m trying so hard at the back of the shelf,” she confesses in the brutally honest opening verse.

“It’s just the same every day, I’m writing these songs that will never get played.” The “Make Me (Cry)” hitmaker reaches breaking point on the choir-assisted chorus. “Oh can’t someone help me, oh please someone help me,” Noah belts. “I’m sick of being so lonely, I miss all my family.” What inspired “Lonely”? “[It] came to me during a really dark time in my life and is about self struggle and feeling out of place,” the teenager shares.

“But the amazing thing is that it put me on the path to getting help and I hope it does the same for my fans who need it,” she continues. “Lonely” is raw, relatable and a perfect showcase of Noah’s underrated vocals. At this rate, NC1 is shaping up to be a triumph. Prepare for a rush of emotion and check out her latest below.
