SXSW: HAIM Go Hard & Hang With Pharrell

This is how it’s done, people! The three sisters in HAIM are young, but as they’ve proved at South by Southwest — to those who don’t already know — they are masters of showmanship. Danielle, Este and Alana Haim put on concerts that are memorable to people who see memorable concerts for a living. Their just-short-of-unhinged pop-rock sets have become one of the most hyped things in music right now, and their familiar yet unique sound affords them the rare luxury of receiving accolades from various factions: indie kids, pop addicts and hip-hop heads all want some HAIM time.

The latest landmark for these California gals? Pharrell caught their show at  FILTER’s Showdown At Cedar Street Friday (March 16) at SXSW. Click through the gallery up top to see him checking out their energetic set and chatting with the band.

That’s not the only big co-sign the trio got at SXSW. Earlier in the week, Kid Cudi announced that his all-star roster of Indicud guests includes HAIM, along with Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and, yes, Michael Bolton.
