Your Annual Shania Twain Update
Shania Twain's fifth album has been a (really) long time coming, but there's progress.

Shania Twain debuted her first new music in 15 years last night (April 29) at Stagecoach Festival. She performed a single titled “Life’s About to Get Good,” which hints at the darker subject matter of her comeback album (“I wasn’t just broken, I was shattered”), but is otherwise as sunny as can be. Does this song have the pop punch of her  ’90s country-pop hits? No. But Shania discussed recently to Rolling Stone, that move was intentional: “I wanted a more organic approach.”

As if her headlining Stagecoach wasn’t proof enough of her music legacy, Shania was also joined by Nick Jonas to perform her 2004 single “Party for Two.” Nick seems a little intimidated, though a lot of interviews he’s done as an adult pop star would give away why. “I got the chance to see Shania’s Vegas show, and when she performed this song onstage with a white horse at her side, it really sealed the deal for me: Shania Twain, lifetime crush,” he said to Billboard just last year.
