In video from the performance, she introduces the new song, titled “17″ (or maybe “Seventeen” — which would be better? Probably “17,” right?) in the most quintessentially Avril way imaginable: “I wrote this song about — duh! — being seventeen. That’s pretty much it.” Oh, Avril. Never change. More »
But amongst all the celeb interview chaff, and despite Avril’s largely nonexistent answers, ET Canada was able to report that the Chavril wedding will be in July or August, followed by her album release in September. Watch the interview up top, if you’re not blinded by her enormous fruit-shaped engagement ring (never growing up really seems to have paid off, huh?) More »

Actually, maybe not), Demi rocked out on Good Morning America, Cassie dropped her new mixtape and, not to be outdone by Bey, Taylor Swift debuted her Diet Coke commercial. The 28-year-old also brought up the surprising fact that, when she met her future husband while recording her upcoming album, he didn’t have a single tattoo. “The second day in the studio I was like, I’m so getting you your first tattoo,” Lavigne explained. Sure enough, she and Kroeger came away from a trip to France with matching “live in the moment” ink on their arms.

Avril Lavigne has offered a sneak peek of her “Here’s to Never Growing Up” lyric video, out April 9. More than two weeks prior Lavigne asked Facebook followers to sign up for a cameo, and this grainy clip previews the end result — a quick run through a fan-video montage, in which a lucky few croon the lyrics to their webcams. (Blink, and you’ll miss Lavigne’s own appearance.)
Aside from her cover of Nickelback‘s “How You Remind Me,” Lavigne’s new song and fifth, still-untitled album will be her first new music since 2011′s Goodbye Lullaby. Its arrested development-celebrating title aside, “Here’s to Never Growing Up” sounds like her own version of Rihanna‘s “Cheers (Drinks to That)” — coincidentally, a song that samples Lavigne’s own “I’m With You.” Check out the lyric video preview up top, then revisit Rihanna’s “Cheers” video (featuring Lavigne herself) after the jump.
