MTV VMAs 2014: Demi Lovato Brought Out The Big Guns

Demi Lovato was rudely overlooked in all the major categories but she still managed to steal the show on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet in Los Angeles tonight (August 24). The 22-year-old sexed up her image by rocking a stunning red grown with a plunging neckline. In fact, it plunged so low that we could almost see her navel.

There’s no denying that the Disney diva has the curves to pull off such a bold look and she seemed extremely comfortable and confident. So good for her. Demi is currently celebrating the fourth hit single from her self-titled LP and is about the hit the road — again — for another blockbuster tour. Oh, and in her spare time, she’s helping promote mental health awareness.  More »

Demi Lovato Speaks Up For Marriage Equality: Watch

She Really Does Care
Demi Lovato has lent her voice to Human Rights Campaign in support of marriage equality. “I believe that love comes in all different shapes, sizes and colors – so whether you’re LGBT or straight, your love is valid, beautiful and an incredible gift,” she says in a new video (watch above).

The Demi star’s endorsement appears with a pledge to support marriage equality. It’s also timely – Utah, one of 31 US states banning same-sex marriage, is currently seeking a Supreme Court review for a new ruling. Meanwhile, Lovato has become a vocal supporter for marriage equality over the past few weeks. She filmed her “Really Don’t Care” video during this year’s LA Pride festivities, while serving as the event’s grand marshal. “You don’t have to hate, because my Jesus loves all,” she said to protesters nearby, at the music video’s start.

Watch her speak on behalf of Human Rights Campaign up top, then see her recent speech at New York City Pride Rally below. More »

While the focus was on the 17-year-old’s unstoppable earworm, other topics of discussion included Katy Perry‘s boobs — because they’re awesome — and her dream collaboration.

After a brief moment of contemplation, Dr. Luke‘s protege settled on Demi Lovato as the lady she would most like to work with out of the current crop of pop divas. (As far as guys go, her heart belongs to Bruno Mars). “I was in the same room as her the other day and just seeing the way she talks and how cool she is, I just love that about her!” Watch her explanation up top.
