Work, Demi.
Last night, singer-songwriter Demi Lovato appeared as a musical guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers for what turned out to be a pretty entertaining interview to say the least. While the pop star was there to promote her latest single “Really Don’t Care,” she also spoke about her upcoming world tour, her new apartment amongst the elderly and, here’s the kicker folks, her fervent belief that aliens and mermaids are real(?!).

Yeah, we were pretty intrigued too. Confessing her love for conspiracy theories, Lovato believes that mermaids are real because of an apparently convincing documentary she saw on The Discovery Channel. More »

Demi Lovato Chimes In On The Vamps’ Reworked “Somebody To You”: Listen

Rising U.K. boy band The Vamps debuted its re-worked version of “Somebody to You” featuring Demi Lovato on Capital FM.

Lovato, last seen in her adorable “Really Don’t Care” lyric video, chimes in during the song’s second verse. She sing the band’s original lyrics of being won over, despite themselves: “I used to run around, I didn’t want to settle down, but I wake each day, looking for a way I can see your face… ” While The Vamps have yet to break into U.S. charts, the chances of doing so via “Somebody to You” is starting to look good. Demi Lovato Recorded (But Decided Not To Release) A Solo Version Of “Really Don’t Care”: Listen

Demi Lovato recently announced Cher Lloyd collaboration “Really Don’t Care” as the fourth single from Demi but she almost went with a solo version instead. The “Neon Lights” diva re-recorded the infectious kiss-off anthem, adding a new verse to replace the Brit’s rap. Radio Disney played the revised edit three times today (May 16) before it was pulled.

“You tried to break me down like I would hit the ground,” sings Demi in the alternate version before getting really angry and declaring: “you just don’t mean enough to really mess me up.” Take that, asshole! The absence of Cher’s cheeky rap makes the song sound more angry and adult. Kind of like an upbeat Kelly Clarkson anthem — only with lyrics about raised fingers. Listen after the jump. More »

Demi Lovato Will Feature On The Vamps’ New Single “Somebody To You”

Demi Lovato is so charitable. The 21-year-old made room for British pop diva Cher Lloyd on new single “Really Don’t Care” and now lends her epic vocals to The Vamps‘ new single “Somebody To You”. The tantalizing duet will debut on Capital FM this Sunday (May 18) and will, no doubt, help the boys secure their first US hit.

The original version of “Somebody To You” is one of the many highlights on the band’s debut LP Meet The Vamps, which reached number two in the UK. It’s a super-catchy pop/rock anthem with a distinctly romantic twist. There’s no word yet if new lyrics were written for Demi or if she simply sings an existing verse but it’s easy to imagine her on the track. Watch the original lyric video after the jump. More »
