has lent her voice to Human Rights Campaign
in support of marriage equality. “I believe that love comes in all different shapes, sizes and colors – so whether you’re LGBT or straight, your love is valid, beautiful and an incredible gift,” she says in a new video (watch above).
The Demi star’s endorsement appears with a pledge to support marriage equality. It’s also timely – Utah, one of 31 US states banning same-sex marriage, is currently seeking a Supreme Court review for a new ruling. Meanwhile, Lovato has become a vocal supporter for marriage equality over the past few weeks. She filmed her “Really Don’t Care” video during this year’s LA Pride festivities, while serving as the event’s grand marshal. “You don’t have to hate, because my Jesus loves all,” she said to protesters nearby, at the music video’s start.

recently dropped by the Idolator
studio to chat about her breakthrough hit “Shower”
, which continues to surge up the Billboard Hot 100. (It reached a new peak of number 55 this week). While the focus was on the 17-year-old’s unstoppable earworm, other topics of discussion included Katy Perry
‘s boobs — because they’re awesome — and her dream collaboration.
After a brief moment of contemplation, Dr. Luke‘s protege settled on Demi Lovato as the lady she would most like to work with out of the current crop of pop divas. (As far as guys go, her heart belongs to Bruno Mars). “I was in the same room as her the other day and just seeing the way she talks and how cool she is, I just love that about her!” Watch her explanation up top. , mama! Demi Lovato
is truly a LGBT warrior.
In the past few weeks, Demi’s been giving tons of support to the community — from acting as Grand Marshal at the LA Pride Parade, to appearing at LOGO TV’s Trailblazers, to dropping some amazing “Really Don’t Care” remixes for the clubs before hitting the pier at NYC Pride this upcoming weekend. And now, the fearless “Neon Lights” diva has come out swinging with her bright, beautiful video for “Really Don’t Care” with Cher Lloyd.
Filmed at the LA Pride Parade on June 8, the celebratory clip sees Demi partying and dancing it up with friends and fans (and Cher, too!), as well as pridefully powering through her latest Demi smash in front the crowd’s most colorful characters: Drag queens! S&M daddies! Latex enthusiasts! This girl’s not afraid to show her love for all the colors of the rainbow — and we certainly love her for that. Watch Demi and Cher have a gay ‘ol time up top. More »
The second quarter of 2014 delivered a veritable onslaught of sexy pics from our favorite pop divas. Leading the charge was the holy queen of unnecessary nudity Rihanna
. She posed topless (and bottomless) for French men’s magazine Lui
and then posted the pics on Instagram, which led to her account being temporarily deleted. She never reactivated it and we’re still in mourning.
Seasoned attention-seekers Rita Ora and Miley Cyrus got in on the act, losing their clothes for multiple photo shoots, but they were put in their place by pop veteran Madonna. Her nipples took pride of place in Italian Vogue and she proved that there’s no age limit for shameless publicity stunts. Bless her heart. While not as rowdy as the previously-mentioned divas, good girls Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato posted bikini pics, while pop legend Mariah Carey wore a pearl necklace (let’s not go there) and little else for sleazy snapper Terry Richardson. made her debut at the famed Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles last night (June 16) as part of MYfm’s My Big Night Out
event. She shared the bill with fellow pop stars Ed Sheeran
, Colbie Caillat
and Andy Grammer
but arguably stole the show with a hit-filled set complete with an inspirational speech and a couple of unexpected fan favorites.
After opening with recent hit “Heart Attack”, the 21-year-old took it right back with Here We Go Again single “Remember December”. It turned out to be Demi’s (winning) formula for the night — to play something current and then remind everyone that she’s already on her fourth studio album by dusting off an old classic. (“Firestarter” followed by “The Middle” was another quirky but fulfilling combination).
The fiery diva, who rocked fitted black pants and a jacket with gold embellishments, really found her groove on new single “Really Don’t Care”. She rocked out with the guitarist, whipping her lavender-colored hair like a woman possessed. She dialed it right back on the next song — taking a seat to beautifully belt out power ballad “Nightingale”, which she touchingly dedicated to her step-father. More »
has to be the busiest woman in pop. She barely had time to put away her Neon Lights tour
costumes before announcing a completely new live extravaganza
for the fall and has not one but two huge summer singles on the way. The 21-year-old filmed part of her “Really Don’t Care”
video at LA Pride yesterday (June 8) but already has her cameo in The Vamps
‘ “Somebody To You” visual in the can.
The English rockers head to the beach for the summery clip and perform the sing-a-long pop/rock anthem on a makeshift stage in the sand. They also have time for a bit of fun in the sun and brush up their soccer and volleyball skills. Oh and a group of young ladies conveniently appear for them to flirt with. Where’s Demi? Well, she clearly wasn’t available on the same day, so her scenes are a little disjointed. The “Heart Attack” hitmaker just sits around and looks pretty before twirling in some fluttering curtains. Obviously, she steals the show. Watch up top. More »
With tickets for Demi Lovato
‘s World Tour about to go on sale
, it’s time for her to get the word out there that this is one multi-tasking diva who’s one hell of an entertainer you shouldn’t be missing out on live. To get her fans pumped, the songbird hit up the Good Morning America
stage in New York’s Central Park this morning for performances of “Neon Lights,” “Heart Attack”
and “Really Don’t Care.”
And, surprise — Cher Lloyd
, whose album Sorry I’m Late
just arrived last week, was on hand to join Demi for the latter.

Last night, singer-songwriter Demi Lovato
appeared as a musical guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers
for what turned out to be a pretty entertaining interview to say the least. While the pop star was there to promote her latest single “Really Don’t Care,”
she also spoke about her upcoming world tour
, her new apartment amongst the elderly and, here’s the kicker folks, her fervent belief that aliens and mermaids are real(?!).
Yeah, we were pretty intrigued too. Confessing her love for conspiracy theories, Lovato believes that mermaids are real because of an apparently convincing documentary she saw on The Discovery Channel. More »
