Last night, pop stars braved the elements of Los Angeles’ harsh December weather (mild rain and wind) to help blow the roof off of the Nokia Theater and celebrate the holidays at the annual KIIS Jingle Ball. Among our favorite artists on hand to put the rock in “Jingle Bell Rock” were Taio Cruz, Grammy nominees Hayley Williams and B.o.B., Katy Perry (dressed perfectly purple, again), “fairy tale princess” Selena Gomez, AMA performers Joey McIntyle and AJ McLean, 5.0 rapper Nelly as well as graffiti artist Travie McCoy. You’ll have to wait till Friday to catch CMT’s Artists Of The Year—hosted by Kevin Costner (Ed. note: wha?)—but you can sneak a peak from the Tennessee taping from last night. The show will honor top-selling Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, the Zac Brown Band and, of course, Taylor Swift (we wonder if she was surprised). Among those there to share in the celebration were “Rolling In The Deep” songstress Adele and Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams.

VH1 has assembled an elite squad of pop divas to entertain our deserving soldiers in the upcoming concert special ‘VH1 Divas Salute The Troops’. The show — featuring Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Paramore, Keri Hilson, Sugarland and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals — airs Dec. 5, but until then you can enjoy these stylized WWII-pinup-inspired images of the divas. Before they could ignite the sky like the Fourth Of July at MTV’s Europe Music Awards, our favorite pop stars had to first walk the red carpet. Hayley Williams rocked fuchsia locks (as opposed to her signature orange ‘do) and futuristic makeup, while Taylor Momsen wore her usual thigh-high and short shirtdress ensemble. Katy Perry donned a sequined “Admit One” ticket stub dress–the “One” we’re assuming refers new hubby Russell Brand—while Miley Cyrus and Rihanna opted for flowy white gowns.
