Jennifer Lopez Lays Down The Law On “Charades”: Listen To The Killer ‘A.K.A.’ Target Bonus Track

Can’t get enough of Jennifer Lopez‘s extremely good A.K.A. album? Well, head to the your nearest Target because their exclusive bonus track “Charades” is an absolute gem. (The Roccstar-produced slow jam is also contained on the Japanese edition of the LP but an impromptu trip to Asia is probably a little harder to organize).

“Break it or buy it, nothing’s for free,” purrs Jenny over slick urban beats. “Especially my body, especially me.” If that opening line hasn’t captured your immediate attention perhaps the angry, confessional lyrics about bad boyfriends (“You think that you’re the only one that ever say you love me when it’s over?) and the smooth, infectious chorus will. Listen to the hypnotic jam after the jump. More »

Jennifer Lopez Makes Jimmy Fallon Faint With Performance Of “First Love”: Watch

The Hair Flips Are Comin'
Jennifer Lopez proved (yet again) that she can pull off bubbly pop with “First Love,” the Max Martin-produced single off her new album A.K.A. (out today, June 17). But when she performed the song during a special Tonight Show episode in Orlando, one of the last stops of her summer tour, she blindsided thousands by suddenly turning fierce. “Wait a minute! Band, I wanna dance!” she exclaimed.

And just like that, J. Lo’s flanked by eight male dancers who shuffle, spin, jump, march, step back as she crouches down and flips her hair wildly – you know, as if watching a master at work – and then, to end with a bang, faint at her command. Fallon’s so exhausted from watching it all that that he faints, too.

Lopez’s Tonight Show performance follows her high-profile World Cup performance, her hilarious “Tight Pants” ditty with Fallon himself and, as best as both can recall, a failed attempt for the two of them to dance with Jennifer Lawrence. Watch her perform “First Love” up top, then see her other antics with Fallon after the jump. More »

Lady Gaga And Tony Bennett Surprised Students At The Frank Sinatra School Of Arts: Morning Mix

Did You Hear?

:: Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett surprised students on the last day of class at the Frank Sinatra School of Arts in New York City yesterday. They even performed a duet version of the classic song “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love”. [Walb]

:: Talk about great casting! Execs at Lifetime have chosen rising Disney diva Zendaya to play Aaliyah in a new biopic. It makes sense especially given that her breakthrough hit “Replay” sounded like a lost Baby Girl demo. In a good way. [Vulture]

:: Chris Brown has hit the studio with Justin Bieber to record a collaboration for their loyal fans. This doesn’t sound like a particularly wise move for either of them but there you have it. [Rap-Up]

:: Well, this is kind of sweet. Casper Smart, who has been accused of cheating on Jennifer Lopez with a transgender Instagram model, took it upon himself to plug his famous ex’s new LP A.K.A. online. At least he’s trying. [Radar Online]

Jennifer Lopez Vogues Up A Storm In Her “Tens” Video Preview: Watch

tens
Strike A Pose!
One of the biggest surprises on Jennifer Lopez‘s very good new LP A.K.A. is dancehall drag anthem “Tens”. Sounding like a cross between Sean Paul‘s entire discography and RuPaul‘s iconic “Supermodel Of The World”, the Paris Is Burning-worthy jam is all about strutting your stuff on the dance floor, runway or anywhere else with a flat surface.

In a perfect world “Tens” would be the next single from A.K.A. but I have a feeling it will have to wait in line behind J.Lo’s “Booty”. (Not such a bad place to be when you think about it). At least Ms. Lopez filmed (part of) a video for it. In the promo clip, we see a diva strut her stuff before Jenny (or someone who looks a lot like her) jumps in the ring and throws it down with spins and general flawlessness. Watch up top. More »

Jennifer Lopez Brings Out Iggy Azalea To Perform “Acting Like That”: Watch

Jennifer Lopez surprised fans at B96′s Summer Bash in Chicago with special guest Iggy Azalea. For the first time, the two performed their hypnotic hip-hop collaboration off Lopez’s A.K.A., “Acting Like That” – for The New Classic rapper in particular, what’s been a dream come true.

“I love her,” Azalea has said. “I definitely used to sit in my bedroom as a young girl and lip-sync Jennifer Lopez songs, so it’s very cool to have a song with her on her album.”

Lopez’s A.K.A. is out Tuesday, following a homecoming concert in the Bronx, a World Cup performance with Pitbull and Brazilian pop star Claudia Leitte and twerk-filled tease of her “Booty” video. Watch snippets of their “Actin’ Like That” performance below, then check out our track-by-track review of her new album. More »

Bend & Snap!
With the release of Jennifer Lopez‘s excellent A.K.A. just around the corner (June 17), the flawless diva has upped her promo game by dropping a series of brief viral videos for key songs. They are all well worth a look (find them after the jump) but the just-released “Booty” visual is hands-down the best thing you will watch today. Or ever.

What’s so great about the clip? You get to watch J.Lo twerk for a like a full minute. Sure, there’s some cool choreography and a bunch of other lovely ladies but all eyes are on the world’s most-famous derriere. Oh, and the soundtrack is pretty good too. Produced by Diplo, “Booty” is an undeniable summer smash. One listen and you really can’t help but drop it low. Let Jenny show you how it’s done up top. More »

Jennifer Lopez Covers ‘Billboard’: Find Out The World Cup Performer’s Christmas Album Plans

Following up with last week’s colorful Billboard cover featuring Iggy Azalea — wherein the chart-topping rapstress dissed everyone from Lorde to The Beatles — the publication has World Cup opening performer Jennifer Lopez on the front this time around. The singer/actress/all-around media moguel is about to drop her eighth studio album A.K.A. on June 17 (read our track-by-track review), which she recorded after hitting the road with Enrique Iglesias two years ago.

“After I got home, I realized I was a stronger vocalist than maybe even I gave myself credit for,” she tells Billboard of the pair’s co-headlining tour. “It made me want to get back into the studio without that cage I had put on myself. Once I let that beast loose, I was doing things I didn’t know I could do.” More »

Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull And Claudia Leitte Perform “We Are One” At FIFA World Cup 2014: Watch

Play Balls!
Are you feeling that futbol fever and yearning for some hot Latin fire? Well, you’re in luck because Jennifer Lopez and Mr. Worldwide Pitbull performed their song “We Are One” at the opening ceremony for the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Marking the official start of the sexy soccer extravaganza, Brazilian songstress Claudia Leitte, who fluffed up the crowd in anticipation for JLo and Pit’s arrival, joined the two pop stars. Despite negative reviews of the track,  J-to-the-L-O, donned in a sexy green leotard, and Pitbull, who is wearing pants that some might call a little too fitted, gave a lively and joyous performance to say the least.

While an earlier announcement stated  that Jennifer wouldn’t make it to the opening because of supposed “production problems,” Jenny made it work and  really got the crowd going not only with her outfit, but also her impressive samba moves.

Jennifer Lopez & Casper Smart Split Up: Morning Mix

:: Jennifer Lopez has split from her boyfriend of two years, back-up dancer Casper Smart. Based on what’s been said in the past, the relationship simply seemed to have run its course. Earlier this year, Lopez said she didn’t think the two were heading for marriage. [ABC]

:: Speaking of breakups: Calvin Harris confirmed that he and Rita Ora are no longer dating, though neither have explained why. “I wish her for all the best,” Harris said. [Billboard]

:: Florida Georgia Line‘s revamp of “This Is How We Roll,” featuring Jason Derulo, isn’t the only country remix sparked by this year’s CMT Awards. Hunter Hayes reveals that, while preparing to back John Legend, the two cut a bluegrass version of Legend’s #1 hit “All of Me” at the studio, too. [Billboard]

:: YaYa DeCosta will star as Whitney Houston in a Lifetime biopic, directed by Angela Bassett and out in 2015. Previously, the former America’s Next Top Model contestant has appeared in All My Children, Ugly Betty and House. [The Huffington Post]

:: Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne pop up in a new Beats by Dre ad for its redesigned Solo2 headphones. The clip focuses more so on soccer stars like Brazil’s Neymar, Jr. – but hey, Minaj does the same, as she spends her on-screen time flipping through a sports magazine. [Rolling Stone]
