Thanks to Justin Bieber, Here’s Tom Hanks Dancing To “This Is How We Do It”

This Is How Tom Does It
Clearly, Justin Bieber had a great time at manager Scooter Braun‘s wedding. He hung out with Ed Sheeran. He sang “Call Me Maybe” with Carly Rae Jepsen. (Rather, he sang while Jepsen giggled.) Best of all, though, he was standing next to award-winning actor Tom Hanks, dressed inexplicably as a rabbi, when Braun’s wedding band launched a cover of Montell Jordan‘s 1995 hit “This Is How We Do It.”

With the band’s lead singer behind him, Hanks led the sing-along. He raised his arms as if basking in the song’s glory, before he did the robot out the dancing circle. Stars, they’re just like us – they pick up their dry cleaning, head to Starbucks and sing their praises of Montell Jordan’s Friday (and Saturday and, evidently, Sunday) night staple whenever they get the chance to unwind. Watch Bieber’s clip of Tom Hanks – yes, that Tom Hanks – singing and dancing to “This Is How We Do It” after the jump. More »

I hope they don’t underestimate themselves or undervalue their art.” [The Hollywood Reporter]

Justin Bieber Might Have Posted (And Then Deleted) A Nude On Instagram: Morning Mix

Beyonce & Jay Z Face Criticism For Showing Justin Bieber’s Mugshot On Stage

Cops Wanna Knock Them
Did Beyonce and Jay Z slight Justin Bieber on stage? Fans and critics are saying yes, thanks (or no thanks) to fan footage from opening night of their joint On the Run tour.

One clip (above) shows that Jay Z was performing his 2001 hit “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” to celebrity mugshots being projected behind him. Only Beyonce’s were fake; the others of David Bowie, Puff Daddy, Tupac and more were real. The clip does show that Bieber’s mugshot was timed to Jay’s best line in “Izzo” (“So poof! / Vamoose, son of a b—-”). What it doesn’t show, though, is that Beyonce was also apparently addressing the crowd. “Even the greatest can fall,” she said, according to The Mirror. More »

Adam Levine Wants You To Know That He Didn’t Sleep With Lindsay Lohan: Morning Mix

Did You Hear?

:: Adam Levine wants you to know that he did not sleep with a certain celebrity. “That’s not true,” he told Howard Stern. “I did not have sexual intercourse with Lindsay Lohan. I will swear on anything that you ask that I have never had sex with Lindsay Lohan!” Ok, ok. We believe you. [Just Jared]

:: The bad news never ends for Justin Bieber. According to news reports a car he was traveling (but not driving) had an accident in Beverly Hills, while trying to evade paparazzi. Thankfully, no one was injured. [MTV]

:: Madonna is surprisingly traditional when it comes to education. It looks like daughter Lourdes is following in her footsteps and will take classes at the University of Michigan. How do we know? She posted pics on Instagram like any proud mother. [Pink Is The New Blog]

:: This is a relief. Paul McCartney has finally shaken the mystery virus he contracted in Tokyo, Japan and has rescheduled the North American tour dates he had to cancel because of it. “I’m feeling great!” he declared in a YouTube video announcing the new shows. [Billboard]

Trey Songz’s ‘Trigga’: Stream The Full Album Featuring Justin Bieber And Nicki Minaj

Trey Songz has claimed (convincingly) that he invented sex. In his new album Trigga, now streaming ahead of its July 1 release, the young R&B crooner’s behavior tends to be just as bold. He and Juicy J pal up in the Mike WiLL Made It-produced “Late Night” to lay down one-night-stand terms as explicitly as possible. Following 2010′s “Bottoms Up,” he reunites with Nicki Minaj – a last-minute feature – in “Touchin’, Lovin’,” for a woozy pop-R&B number that inspires them to lay down an important ground rule for bedroom behavior – in the words of the Pink Print star, “Real n—-s let real b—–s come first.” And he and Justin Bieber fantasize of a Miami vacation in his “Foreign” remix, complete with a short and succinct list of priorities: F—, drink, sleep.

Songz would repeat that sentiment later on, just as he features not one, but two version of “Foreign” in the album’s standard edition – moves that seems a bit excessive. But the somewhat long wait for the tender “SmartPhones,” dubious title and all, is worth it. There he imagines being caught cheating, and as he attempts to figure out how to beg for an apology, his anguished voice coasts into a falsetto with little to no effort. For all the times he’s sing-rapping and being blunt in Trigga, it’s stunning to hear him meander and sigh of being speechless.

Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Are Back Together: Morning Mix

Did You Hear?

:: Kesha, Brad Paisley, Ludacris and Josh Groban have opened up about their roles on interactive reality show Rising Star. They also kindly explained how the format works and why it’s different to other talent shows. [Billboard]

:: Never let it be said that Canadians don’t have a great sense of humor. Electro-pop duo Chromeo pranked journalists into believing that they had become major investors in a bogus airline by sending out a fake press release. [Stereogum]

:: Watain surprised fans (in a bad way, we hope) by splattering them with pigs’ blood at a recent concert in New York. As it turns out, the Swedish metal band didn’t technically break the law. Dousing people in animal blood is a legal activity. So there you go. [TMZ]

Justin Bieber’s Protege Madison Beer Drops “Unbreakable” Video: Watch

madison-beer-unbreakable
Justin Bieber's Protege Takes Off
Madison Beer initially gained Justin Bieber‘s attention with her mash-up of Bruno Mars covers posted to YouTube. Already, his co-sign has boosted the 15-year-old singer’s profile significantly: She signed with Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun. Bieber himself appeared in her debut “Melodies” video (“That’s a smash. She’s gonna be a star, trust me,” he says). And on June 16, Beer debuted her new song “Unbreakable,” to have its video viewed nearly 100,000 times less than a day later.

“Unbreakable” isn’t geared for block parties like her debut single, “Melodies.” Instead the midtempo pop number aims to uplift anyone who’s ever felt insecure or broken down, with its faint electro flourishes and encouraging hook. In the video, Beer and a crowd wanders aimlessly until they find a field, dance around and send black balloons with messages scrawled on them (“I matter,” “I’m scared,” “I love”) into the sky. Like Bieber to his millions of Beliebers, Beer does her best to seem approachable. More »
