, Mother Of Blue Ivy
, Award-Winning Vacationer
and Captivating Blogger Of The Internet
, arrived at Monday night’s (May 7) Met Costume Gala in a jaw-dropping Givenchy Haute Couture gown. The recently named World’s Most Beautiful Woman
lived up to her title in the breathtaking semi-sheer dress which perfectly highlighted her gym membership-inspiring post-baby shape. Perhaps that’s why Lana Del Rey
(aka the “Caped Wonder”
) wore a frown to the event: There was no upstaging Bey on the red carpet.

Many of the stars in our music galaxy collided on Monday night (May 7) at the 2012 Costume Institute Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum Of Art. Some reflected on the evening with great reverence, such as Glee
‘s Lea Michele
, “So honored to be here at the Met Ball with the amazing and inspiring Diane Von Furstenburg.” Rihanna
, on the other hand, had quite a different outlook on the evening.
While RiRi donned a stunning black Tom Ford dress and Louboutin heels for the event, she put her true thoughts bluntly on Twitter: “Met sh*t”. Just chock that up to one of the many reasons we love the “Where Have You Been” singer — nothing fazes her: not hanging with Valentino Garavani at the Met Ball, not the glitz and glamor of a high profile event and certainly not repeatedly patting her “Birthday Cake” on SNL.

It’s nice to see Lana Del Rey
in something other than her signature white performance dresses and her out-and-about blue jeans
. The throaty songbird arrived at the 2012 Costume Institute Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum Of Art donning an elegant gown and a … black cape. While the outfit looked stunning on the Born To Die
artist, Lana’s addition of dark lipstick made us wonder if maybe she misunderstood the invitation and came dressed in
costume (perhaps as a vampire?).

(Speaking of Twitter, Lana, we noticed you changed your bio to “I sing the body electric” and inquiring minds want to know: Are you a big Walt Whitman buff, or is that a Twilight Zone and/or Fame soundtrack reference?)
