Washington, D.C.’s National Mall transformed into a star-studded venue, as musicians from various genres performed at the Concert For Valor — an event organized in honor of Veteran’s Day (November 11). One of the biggest highlights of the night came from Rihanna and Eminem, as they performed their chart-topping tune, “Monster.”
The Barbadian songstress looked stunning in a sparkly black jumpsuit, and the controversial rapper kept it casual with his look. Prior to their on-stage collaboration, Rihanna performed her big singles (“Diamonds” and “Stay”) that showed how much stronger her vocals have become.

The release date of Rihanna‘s forthcoming eight studio LP is completely unknown and with the currently blasé state of pop, any information we can get about the Barbadian songstress’ project is welcome! Well, Ne-Yo has now gifted us with some knowledge. The singer/songwriter and frequent collaborator with Rihanna (“Hate That I Love You,” “Right Now,” “Russian Roulette,” “Take A Bow”) stopped by Capital XTRA over the weekend during his London stop, and reflected on the bad gal’s album.
He told the radio station, “The stuff I’ve heard is absolutely incredible. I can’t speak on what it sounds like because I’ll get in trouble. But I definitely feel like people are gonna enjoy it. Anybody that’s a Rihanna fan is gonna stay a Rihanna fan, and anybody that’s not might become a Rihanna fan … just gear up for it.” More »

Along with putting on the event, the singer will also have an intimate performance alongside a live orchestra. The Diamond Ball will take place on December 11 at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, CA. Instagram became a much better (not to mention sexier) place when Rihanna‘s iconic account was reinstated. The holy cornucopia of nudes and funny memes has already blessed us with classy pics from the diva’s Elle photo shoot and a good dose of ratchetivity thanks to her sizzling — and frequently topless — spread for Esquire UK magazine.
Today (November 5), the social media pioneer shared more snaps from her Ellen Von Unwerth-helmed Esquire shoot including the above image of Rih blasting her lady bits with a fan (it was classily captioned “cool cat”) and another black-and-white topless moment. All this promo can only mean one thing — R8 is closer than we think! See more RiRi after the jump. More »
“Getting money, divas gettin’ money,” sang Beyonce on 2009 single/unofficial theme song “Diva”. That lyric proved prophetic when Forbes announced their list of the Top Earning Women In Music today (November 4). Beyonce raked in a jaw-dropping $115 million over the past 12 months — almost double what Taylor Swift made in second place ($64 million).
So where did Queen Bey collect her cash? Well, she performed 95 concerts within the timeframe and inked endorsement deals with H&M and Pepsi. She also sold more than two million copies of her groundbreaking visual album in the US alone. Other ladies with heavy purses include Pink, Rihanna and Katy Perry. Also, in further proof that touring is where the money is, Celine Dion and Britney Spears were very well remunerated. See the full list after the jump. More »
Boy, Rihanna sure is a chameleon! Just yesterday, the Bad Gal posted the feminine and elegant photo shoot from her December issue of Elle magazine. But today, she is showing off all parts of her rock-hard body for the latest cover of Esquire UK!
The singer posted the steamy pictures on Instagram (she’s back!), which highlight her most famous ass-ets. Frequent collaborator Ellen Von Unwerth (she shot Rihanna’s Rated R album cover) used mainly black and white filters for the pop star’s editorial spread — and the result is stunning! Sure, there is a lot of boobs-and-booty action, but it is done in a completely tasteful manner. More »

:: Big Machine Label Group (a.k.a. Taylor Swift‘s record label) has swiped the singer’s entire discography from Spotify. The move was probably made to amp up her already-insane record sales, but the streaming service was none too pleased about the decision. In a statement, Spotify said: “We believe fans should be able to listen to music wherever and whenever they want, and that artists have an absolute right to be paid for their work and protected from piracy.” [Billboard]
:: Speaking of Taylor Swift, she recently announced her 2015 world tour in support of her 1989 LP. The UK dates suspiciously circle around the Glastonbury Festival next year, which leaves the media to speculate if the singer will be performing. Time will only tell! [Digital Spy]
:: As a follow-up to her first-ever men’s fragrance (Rouge Man) released in August, Rihanna will now have a new fragrance for her female fans. The singer announced the news of the Rouge Love perfume on Twitter, but no word yet when it will be available. [MTV News]
:: In weirder news, Ariana Grande called the police on a fan who was sending her a bevy of packages. The gifts included a 42-pound pumpkin, eight Yankee candles, an anklet from Kay Jewelers and more. The cops have warned the man (a 29-year-old named Tim Normandin from Lowell, MA) to back off the singer. And we agree — it’s just plain creepy. [TMZ]

Happy Monday, Idolator readers! We hope you all had an appropriately spook-tacular (groan) Halloween weekend, and hopefully, a far less spooky recovery the day after.
As always, our favorite pop stars were out in full force for Halloween, with costumes ranging from good, bad to downright ugly (in taste, anyway): From Rihanna‘s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles throwback to Katy Perry‘s spot-on Cheeto ensemble, to Justin Bieber‘s adorable buddy costume to Iggy Azalea‘s hater-baiting White Chicks look to Lily Allen‘s controversial, erm, “joke” of an outfit. They’re all here!

Rihanna and Calvin Harris struck chart gold with 2011 collaboration “We Found Love” but don’t expect to see the DJ’s name in the liner notes of her next LP. “No, I’m not on the Rihanna album,” the lanky Scot told a British newspaper. “I did a few things for it but they don’t get back to you, there are a lot of people involved.” (He should share a beer with the similarly-dissed Phil Collins!)
“She listens to everything, I know that, but she’s got a strong idea and identity and an idea of what her album should sound like,” Calvin continued. “It’s okay because I’m working on my stuff and it’s going fine.” The fact that Rih’s team wouldn’t respond to one of the game’s hottest dance producers strongly suggests that she’s moving in a harder R&B direction. Which actually sounds like a very smart move to me. More »
